Solution 1
The work of the police is to maintain the law and order of the country. The police station of any particular area is responsible for enforcing the law and order in that area. The police register the cases brought to them by the people of that area. It is their responsibility to enquire, investigate, take action and provide the result on cases.
Solution 2
The Patwari is responsible for measuring land and keeping and updating land records. He is also responsible for organising the collection of land revenue from the farmers and providing information to the government about the crops grown in the area.

The work undertaken by the Tehsildar is
(i) Hearing disputes.
(ii) Supervising the work of the Patwaris and ensuring that land records are properly kept and land revenue is collected.
(iii) Making sure that farmers can easily obtain a copy of their records.
(iv) Helping students in obtaining the caste certificate.
Solution 4
The poem raises the issue of inheritance of land by women. Yes, this issue is important as the women of a house have the same rights to the property as the men of the house. Denying women the right of inheriting family land is an act of discrimination. The Indian Constitution talks about 'justice' and 'equality' for each individual, so discriminating on the basis of gender would be unconstitutional.

The relation between the Gram Panchayat and the Patwari is a close one. The Gram Panchayat is responsible for levying and collecting local taxes, while the Patwari is responsible for organising the collection of land revenue from farmers.

Till recently, women in some states did not have any share in the family's agricultural land. After the death of the father, the property was inherited equally only by his sons. However, after the amendment in the Hindu Succession Act in 2005, daughter/s and the mother have a right to inherit an equal share in the land along with the sons. Thus, if a woman has any problems, she can always use her share instead of being dependent on her brother/s or son/s. In this way, the law benefits a large number of women.
